Vulcanize the mold
The metal box then goes inside the vulcanizing press (SiOpress), in which the silicone and 3D-printed masters are pressurized and heated. During the 40-60 min. vulcanization process, the silicone will become liquid, and at this moment, it is copying every single detail from the 3D printed masters before bonding the elastomer chains and becoming a vulcanized mold.
