Technical data and information

The following parameters are only suggested print settings for this material.

To ensure the best print quality, it is necessary to choose the appropriate settings for a specific printer and printing conditions.

  • Diameter of filament: 1.75 mm
  • Dimensional tolerance of filament: +/- 0.02 mm
  • Oval tolerance: + 0.01 mm
  • Nozzle Temperature: 210-230°C
  • Bed Temperature: 50-70°C
  • Closed chamber: not required
  • Fan: 75-100%
  • Flowrate: 90-100%
  • Printing Speed: 35-60 mm/s
  • Surface: glass, masking tape
  • Retraction (direct): 2-3 mm
  • Retraction (bowden): 4-6 mm/s
  • Retraction Speed: 20-45 mm/s
  • Drying conditions: 40°C / 4h
  • Notes: There is a visible swelling of the material exiting the nozzle while loading the filament or printing with it. This is a completely natural effect that results from the surface tension of the polymers making up the filament. Due to the strong adhesion, damage to the bed surface (eg PEI) may occur. We recommend printing on a tape.

Product descriptions

Fiberlogy’s FiberSilk offers a unique elegance of the printouts created with it. They are characterized by a silky metallic shine that brings out every smallest detail of a 3D model with all its bends and curves. Its aesthetic value is further enhanced by a rich palette of available colours. Wide selection of vibrant colours for every user to find something that suits them just fine. The metallic finish makes it easy to hide the boundaries between layers making the entire print more uniform and expressive.

For best FiberSilk effects, it is recommended that you set a high airflow during printing and reduce the print speed.

In addition to the visual advantage over traditional PLA, FiberSilk is also more durable. Thanks to the high adhesion of layers it can take heavy loads without cracking and then returns to its original shape. The filament is both easy and safe to print.
